Kathmandu – Nagarkot – Pokhara – Chitwan – Kathmandu
Program: KPC-9HD (09 days / 08 nights)
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – Transfer to the Hilltop of Nagarkot
Arrival in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal – a land of ancient culture, unique monuments, and breathtaking natural beauty. You will be welcomed at the airport by our representatives and transferred to the hilltop town of Nagarkot (approx. 2200 m). Here you can enjoy the pure mountain air and stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. But the main reason thousands of travelers come to stay overnight in Nagarkot is to witness the magnificent sunset and sunrise over the Himalayas. During the day, the snowy peaks sparkle in the sunlight, and at sunset, they turn soft pink, creating a magical play of light and shadow on the mountain ridges.
After hotel check-in, lunch or dinner (buffet) will be served, during which the guide will give a briefing about the upcoming tour and available optional activities.

Day 2: Nagarkot – Bhaktapur – Kathmandu
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Himalayas, followed by breakfast. Afterward, depart for Kathmandu. The most fascinating historical sites of Nepal are located in the Kathmandu Valley, where generations of kings built their capitals. This includes Kathmandu itself and its neighboring cities, Patan and Bhaktapur, which have changed little since the medieval era.

Excursion to the Medieval City of Bhaktapur – the Ancient Capital of Nepal
This city has preserved its original appearance since the 9th century and feels like an open-air museum. Known as the city of jewelers, artists, and potters, it’s filled with temples, ancient architecture, and museums. A highlight is the Nyatapola Temple—one of the tallest and most beautiful pagodas—built in honor of the goddess Vajrayogini. Interestingly, the concept of the pagoda originated in Nepal in the 13th century (by architect Arniko) before spreading to neighboring countries. The city is rich in sculptures and temples, including some with erotic carvings.
After lunch, you’ll visit the grand Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the world’s most famous Buddhist religious sites. This is the oldest stupa in Nepal, built around 2,000 years ago on the ancient trade route from India to Tibet. The four sides of the stupa are adorned with the all-seeing eyes of Buddha. Located on a hill with 365 steps leading to the top, it offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu. The site is considered spiritually powerful and was revered even before Buddhism arrived in the valley—shamans and priests performed rituals here for centuries.
Accommodation at a hotel with breakfast included.
Optional (extra cost): In the evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali dinner at a local restaurant with live folk music and cultural dance performances.
Day 3: Kathmandu – Patan
Early in the morning, we will visit the beautiful male monastery of Kopan. If we’re lucky, we may witness the morning ceremony of “Puja”—a purification ritual performed by young monks.
Then we head to the ancient city of Patan (established in 299 AD), one of the oldest settlements in the Kathmandu Valley. Historically, Kathmandu and Patan were separate kingdoms. At Durbar Square (Palace Square), we’ll visit the famous Terracotta Temple of a Thousand Buddhas (12th century), the ancient Krishna Temple (17th century)—the only stone temple built in Shikhara style—along with the Taleju Temple of Sacrifices (17th century), the Royal Palace (17th century), and temples like Hiranya Varna Mahavihar and Mahabuddha. We’ll also see the temple-home of the Living Goddess Kumari, and with some luck, catch a glimpse of her.
Accommodation in a hotel with breakfast included.
Day 4: Kathmandu – Rafting on the Trishuli River – Pokhara
After breakfast, we depart for the starting point of the rafting trip (approx. 3.5 hours drive) on the Trishuli River. For those who wish, an exciting rafting adventure awaits on this mountain river using inflatable rafts (suitable for beginners). This thrilling experience allows you to enjoy stunning mountain landscapes, untouched riverside nature, and the excitement of navigating through rapids while breathing in the fresh mountain air. A riverside lunch (lunch boxes) will be provided. Those who choose not to participate in rafting can enjoy a short walk around the area.
We then continue our journey to Pokhara, a city once beloved by 70s hippies and still a haven of relaxation and beauty. Nestled at the foot of the Annapurna range—the second highest after Everest—Pokhara is one of Nepal’s most scenic cities.
Overnight at a hotel with breakfast.
Day 5: Pokhara
Early morning (optional): a trip to the local airstrip for those who want to see the Himalayan mountain range from the sky. Pilots will be waiting to take you on an unforgettable paragliding flight over the Himalayas. The flight is not included in the package and is paid separately.
After breakfast, the entire group will go on a sightseeing tour. You’ll enjoy a serene boat ride on the stunning Phewa Lake, visit the island temple of Barahi (dedicated to feminine power), and explore Pokhara Valley’s main attractions including Devi’s Waterfall, Mahendra Cave, and the city’s largest local market.
Overnight at a hotel with breakfast.

Day 6: Pokhara – Chitwan
After breakfast, the group departs for Chitwan National Park — the “Heart of the Jungle” (approximately a 4-hour drive). The scenic road passes through emerald rice fields and banana plantations.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show performed by the local Tharu people.
Accommodation includes meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Day 7: Chitwan

After breakfast, enjoy an elephant-back safari through the jungle in search of wild rhinos, a canoe ride, and birdwatching to spot rare and exotic wildlife.
Overnight stay at the hotel with full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Day 8: Chitwan – Kathmandu
After breakfast, take a short flight back to Kathmandu (about 25 minutes). Accommodation at a hotel in Kathmandu.
During the day, visit the majestic Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath (5th century), one of the largest stupas in the world and the most revered Buddhist site in Nepal. Around the stupa are many monasteries and temples, where you can witness rituals and prayers in session.
Evening at leisure.
