Grand Tour of Nepal
Route:
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – Transfer to the Mountaintop of Nagarkot
Arrival in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal—a land of ancient culture, unique monuments, and breathtaking natural beauty.
Meet and greet at the airport by our representatives, followed by a transfer to the mountaintop village of Nagarkot (approx. 2,200 meters above sea level).
Check in at Club Himalaya Hotel, which features an excellent viewing deck offering stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range.
Here, you can enjoy the freshest mountain air and awe-inspiring landscapes. But the main reason thousands of travelers come to spend the night in Nagarkot is to witness the sunset and sunrise over the Himalayas. During the day, the snow-covered peaks sparkle in the bright sun. At sunset, the mountain tops are bathed in delicate shades of pink.

Day 2: Nagarkot – Bhaktapur – Kathmandu
Early morning: sunrise over the Himalayas, followed by breakfast and tea with a view of Mount Everest.
Afterward, departure for Kathmandu.
The most fascinating historical sites are located in the Kathmandu Valley, where generations of kings built their capitals. This includes the city of Kathmandu itself and its neighboring towns, Patan and Bhaktapur, which have changed little since medieval times.
A trip to the medieval city of Bhaktapur – the ancient capital of Nepal, which has almost completely preserved its original appearance since the 9th century. It is an open-air museum, a city of jewelers, artists, and potters, filled with temples, ancient architecture, and museums.
Particularly noteworthy is Nyatapola, one of the largest and most beautiful pagodas, built in honor of the goddess Vajrayogini. Interestingly, pagodas were actually invented in Nepal (in the 13th century by architect Arniko), and only later spread to neighboring countries. Everywhere in Bhaktapur, you’ll find an abundance of sculptures and temples, some of which depict erotic scenes.

In the afternoon, an excursion to the grand stupa of Swayambhunath, one of the world’s most famous Buddhist religious sites.
Swayambhunath is the oldest stupa, built about 2,000 years ago along the ancient trade route from India to Tibet. On all four sides of the stupa are the all-seeing eyes of Buddha.
Swayambhunath is located on a hilltop, accessible by a staircase of 365 steps, offering a panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. It is considered a place of strong spiritual energy.
It is believed that this hill was revered as sacred even before Buddhism arrived in the valley. For centuries, shamans and priests have conducted rituals in this area.
Accommodation in the new Hotel Arts Kathmandu (3 Star), with breakfast, is located in the heart of the Thamel tourist district.
In the evening, those who wish may enjoy dinner at Bhojan Griha Restaurant, which features traditional Nepali music and dance performances. Dinner is optional and paid separately.
Day 3: Kathmandu – Patan – Kathmandu
Early in the morning, we will head to Kopan Monastery, one of the most beautiful male monasteries in Nepal. If we’re lucky, we may witness the morning “Puja” ceremony—a spiritual purification ritual performed by young monks.
After lunch, departure to the ancient city of Patan (founded in 299 AD), one of the oldest settlements in the Kathmandu Valley. In the past, Kathmandu and Patan were separate kingdoms.
At Durbar Square (“Palace Square”), you will see the famous Terracotta Temple of a Thousand Buddhas (12th century), the ancient Krishna Temple (17th century)—the only stone temple built in Shikhara style, the Taleju Temple (17th century), the Royal Palace (17th century), as well as the Hiranya Varna Mahavihar, Mahavira Temple, and Mahabuddha.
We will also visit the house-temple of the Living Goddess Kumari, and if we’re fortunate, we may even see her in person.
Accommodation at Hotel Arts Kathmandu (3-star) , with breakfast included.

Day 4: Kathmandu – Rafting on the Trishuli River – Pokhara (7–8 hours)
After breakfast, departure to the rafting starting point (approx. 3.5-hour drive) on the Trishuli River.
For those who wish, there will be rafting on inflatable rafts down the mountain river (easy level, suitable for beginners).
This exciting adventure offers stunning mountain landscapes, untouched riverside nature, the thrill of navigating rapids, and the joy of breathing crisp, fresh air.
Lunch on the riverbank (packed lunch boxes).
Participants who choose not to join the rafting can take a short walk around the area at their own pace.
After rafting, we continue our journey to Pokhara, the city once beloved by hippies.
Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal, nestled at the foot of Mount Annapurna (the second-highest peak after Everest).
In the early 1970s, Pokhara became a haven for wandering “flower children” and has remained a hub of hedonism and relaxation ever since.
Accommodation at Atithi Resort (4 Star), with breakfast included.

Day 5: Pokhara
Early in the morning, for those who are interested, transfer to the airfield to see the Himalayan mountain range from a bird’s-eye view.
There, pilots (Russian-speaking) will be waiting to take you on a paragliding flight over the Himalayas.
This flight is optional and paid separately.
After breakfast, the whole group will go on a sightseeing tour.
Enjoy a boat ride on the breathtakingly beautiful Phewa Lake, with a visit to the Barahi Temple, located on an island in the lake – a temple dedicated to the feminine divine power.
Sightseeing around the Pokhara Valley includes visits to Devi’s Waterfall, Mahendra Cave, and the city’s largest local market.
Accommodation at Atithi Resort 4*, with breakfast included.
Day 6: Pokhara – Begnas Lake – Pokhara
After breakfast, we will head to one of the most beautiful lakes in Nepal – Begnas Lake, located just 30 minutes from Pokhara.
On the way, you’ll also catch a view of another beautiful lake, Rupa Lake. These two stunning lakes are nestled in a peaceful, secluded area. Despite being so close to Pokhara, very few tourists visit this serene region.
The trail between the lakes forms the final section of the famous “Annapurna Sky Trek,” and we’ll walk a short part of this route ourselves, taking in the majestic beauty of the Himalayas and Annapurna.
Return to Pokhara by evening.
Accommodation at Atithi Resort 4*, with breakfast included.
Day 7: Pokhara – Kathmandu
After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Kathmandu (approx. 7–8 hours drive with rest stops along the way).
On the way, we’ll visit the famous Manakamana Temple—a powerful spiritual site, believed to be a place where wishes come true.
The ascent to the temple and descent will be via cable car (ticket paid separately on site).
Accommodation at Hotel Arts Kathmandu 3*, with breakfast included.

Day 8: Kathmandu
After breakfast, we’ll go on an excursion to the ancient Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath – the cremation site for Hindus.
Here, you’ll see the magnificent Temple of Shiva and encounter many sadhus – wandering holy men in unusual clothing with tangled, long hair.
In the evening, we will visit the grand Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath (5th century) – one of the largest stupas in the world, and the most revered Buddhist shrine in Nepal.
Surrounding the stupa are numerous Buddhist monasteries and temples, which can be visited during prayer sessions, where you can witness Buddhist rituals and ceremonies.
Chants and ever-turning prayer wheels represent the eternal movement of both the physical and the spiritual…
